Pudu Robotics describes the PUDU D9 as “a fully anthropomorphic robot,” designed to mirror human capabilities for practical assistance in diverse settings. The robot, which is now open for pre-sale inquiries via the company’s website, stands at 170 cm tall and weighs 143 pounds, boasting 42 degrees of freedom and a maximum joint torque of 352 Nm.
One of the standout features of the PUDU D9 is its integration of the PUDU DH11 dexterous hand, which enables it to execute complex, dual-handed tasks with human-like precision. This, combined with its ability to walk at speeds up to 2 m/s, makes the D9 adept at navigating complex urban environments, including stairs and slopes, with minimal noise due to advanced gait control algorithms.
