The $11.99 standard Premium Individual plan offers ad-free playback and 15 hours of audiobook listening per month. However, not all customers wanted or needed the audiobook feature. The introduction of the new Basic plan at $10.99 per month caters to these users, offering the same high-quality music streaming experience without the added cost of audiobook access. This new option aligns Spotify’s pricing with that of Apple Music, which also charges $10.99 per month for its base music subscription service.
There have been no changes to the prices of Spotify’s other plans. The Duo plan, which allows two accounts, remains at $16.99 per month, while the Family plan, supporting up to six accounts, is priced at $19.99 per month. Additionally, Spotify continues to offer a $9.99 per month plan, which includes 15 hours of audiobook listening but with ad-supported music streaming.
