The OnePlus Nord 4 has officially launched at OnePlus’ Summer Launch Event in Milan, priced at €499. This mid-range smartphone boasts a range of impressive features and design elements, making it a compelling option for tech enthusiasts and everyday users alike.
The OnePlus Nord 4 features a sleek 6.74-inch 120Hz AMOLED display housed in a super slim 7.99mm metal body crafted from a single piece of aluminum. This design is reminiscent of the OnePlus 3T era, incorporating compact 5G antennas and a redesigned motherboard to ensure strong, clear signals without compromising the metal build.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chip, offering a significant performance boost over its predecessor, the Nord 3. It is available with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, catering to a variety of user needs. The device also boasts the largest battery in the Nord series, featuring a 5,500mAh capacity and 100W SUPERVOOC charging, which can charge the phone from 1% to 100% in just 28 minutes. The battery is supported by OnePlus’s Battery Health Engine, which uses AI to manage and maintain internal cell capacity over time.
The OnePlus Nord 4 introduces several AI-powered features, including AI Speak, AI Summary, and AI Writer, which enhance daily tasks and productivity. AI Recording Summary, for instance, converts lengthy meeting recordings into concise summaries. The camera system includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 112-degree FOV, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional AI tools such as AI Eraser, AI Best Face, and AI Clear Face improve photo quality by removing unwanted elements and enhancing clarity.
A standout feature of the OnePlus Nord 4 is its extensive support window. The device is set to receive four major Android updates and six years of security updates, the longest support period for any Nord series device to date. Shipping with Android 14, the Nord 4 will be supported up to Android 18, with security patches extending until 2030.
The OnePlus Nord 4 is available in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage for £429/€499 and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage for £529/€599. It comes in three colors, known as Nordtones: Obsidian Midnight, featuring a brushed gunmetal look; Mercurial Silver, with a 2D laser-etched design; and Oasis Green, presenting a vibrant two-tone color scheme.
